Does the xbox 360 core system play regular xbox games or just the 360 brand games?

It plays some of the regular xbox games, you can get a full list from the microsoft xbox website. You can also order a disk from them that makes a lot of the games backwards compatible.

All the original xbox games I've played on the 360 have worked although some had some glitches
