At any point in your life have you come to a fork in the road and how did you force yourself to take one path or the other?

It's happened a time or two. Normally I weigh all my options and use a little common sense. So far that hasn't failed me.

one night in Spain I got an offer from a girl I met to work as a mechanic on a private yacht; however since I was already working on a ship(Navy at that) I made a bet with her, if I was late going back, I'd go with her, and if I was on time(midnight) I'd go back with my real job. I found her address in a old book while cleaning up during the summer, what a flashback.

At one point I had two seemingly equal options. First, look far into the future and find out exactly what you want further ahead, way further ahead. If you still can't decide, flip a coin... like Two Face from batman, but don't kill anyone... unless of course thats what you were deciding.

When I had to decide whether to stay in Japan after summer vacation or return to Hawaii. I went with the flow.
