  • Natural, all the way.
  • natural when possible, caeserian takes longer to heal. (let me clarify that, natural, but with the pain drugs they can give you!)
  • Both seem to have their downfalls....natural seems to ruin you down there and C section comes with a massive scar and you cant cough or drive for 6 weeks....suppose i'd have to go for the natural with lots of pethadine and an epidural!
  • Natural birth. For me there is nothing more rewarding or more spiritual an experience. I feel very honoured and blessed to have given bith 3 times naturally.
  • What about it? I was born in the caesarean way. And if its a choice of how I would like to give birth - well, as long as there is a fine healthy baby at the end of the road, I really don't care from where it emerges...
  • I had a c-section, but not by choice. He just wasn't gonna come out any other way. But I really would have liked a vaginal birth. I hope next time (if there is one) no cutting will be involved.
  • Considering I've done it both ways, I would prefer a natural birth. It did hurt like hell, but the recovery didn't last as long as my cesarean. I still have uncomfortable moments from my scar. And my belly has a weird numb feeling up to my belly button. When touched, it reminds me of someone running there fingers on a chalk board. As a matter of fact the possibility of me having to have another cesarean has encouraged me not to get pregnant again.
  • *chokes* Neither thankyou... I am a guy!
  • Having had 3 sections (2 emergencies and 1 elective for obvious reasons) I would not push anyone into a surgery. Having said that, it's an utterly and completely an individual decision. Natural childbirth (i.e. no meds, at home, etc.) is romantic but not for everyone. However you decide to have your baby - in a hospital, with meds, by c-section, etc. - don't let anyone EVER EVER EVER tell you or make you feel like you're a less of a woman. Giving birth, no matter how you do it, is hard. And when you hold your healthy beautiful baby in your arms afterwards, who cares how you got there! :)
  • I'm sure anyone would prefer a natural birth. Caeserians are more a matter of necessity than a matter of preference.
