  • Driver's side of engine from front = 1-3-5-7, pass. side is 2-4-6-8 from the front. The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. There were 2 different caps used in '95. One cap orients the wires to the coresponding engine bank (wires attatch horizontally), this style has the cylinder numbers stamped on the top of the cap. The other style positions the wires vertically (standard), on this style the wires are installed in firing order sequence rotating clockwise around the cap. The trick is locating the number one cylinder. You can do this by positioning the number one cylinder at top-dead-center, removing the dist. cap and viewing which way the rotor is pointing. Make a mark on the vehicle to show which way it points. Install the cap, and attatch the wires starting with the number 1 cylinder on the post that is nearest your mark. Once the #1 wire is on install the wires following the firing order in a clockwise direction.
