  • The tungsten filament of an incandescent light bulb at full brightness is somewhere around 5500°C. Of course it depends on the wattage of the bulb. The filament is a "blackbody radiator" whose temperature is linked to its color. Yellowish light is a little cooler, whitish light hotter, and bluish light is hotter still. In this manner photographers make use of the term "color temperature" in describing such lights.
