I would prefer prostitution to be legal, I think the working girls would be alot safer if it was, instead of working for these dodgy, smack dealing pimps they could be relatively safe and warm in an actual brothel and not walking the streets scantily clad in the middle of winter. People smoke cannabis regardless of whether it's legal or not, and nobody really gets harmed in the process, so it may as well carry on that way.

Cannabis...at least it would be available more readily for people who could benefit medically. I don't think it's nearly as dangerous as alcohol, and *that's* legal.

I don't want either to be legal in NY. I do think the marijuana is worse because then there would be a bunch of stoned people driving around and causing car accidents because they would smoke the stuff like it's going out of style. If women are selling sex and men are buying, I am pretty sheltered from that.

Cannabis. This plant is alot less harmful than alcohol, but is illegal for some very silly reasons. Stoned drivers never cross the highway and kill people in a head on collision, that is what drunks do! As for prostitution, I just don't see the point. I have always managed to get my jollies the old fashioned way, without paying for it!

Usually prostitutes feel forced to make that decision because they need the money badly, and then get sucked into a lifestyle they can't quit. Also so many prostitutes are victims of sexual abuse earlier in life that never learn to value themselves outside of their sexuality. It's so sad. Not to mention disease. So yeah... pot. =) I don't understand why people assume that if it's legal to smoke, it'd be legal to drive while high. It's legal to drink and illegal to drink and drive... so what would be the difference? I used to smoke pot and the only bad thing I can about it is that it made me not want for a lot of things in life, not want good things for myself, ruined my motivation, just made me want to sleep and eat cheetos and chocolate milk. =) Then again, I can't think of the good that rampid drinking does for anyone either...
