  • I have not, But it seems like a very enjoyable experience..
  • Yes. We have only one left in the area and when the weather is cool enough, the kids and I go there for a fun adventure in movie going.
  • Sure, when I was growing up there were probably a dozen drive-in theaters in my city. Now there are none!
  • Sure. What's more, sometimes we didn't have money to go, so we'd sit outside the fence, slightly to the rear of the screen and just watch what we could without sound.
  • Yes, but unfortunately it has been torn down and replaced with a car lot.
  • Yes. My family used to go all the time when we were kids. The last movie I saw in a drive in was Armageddon. They have since torn it down and put up a multiplex theatre.
  • Yes! It still stands but is closed and behind a golf driving range now. They left the screen up. I saw many a Disney movie there. You can see it on Google Earth!
  • Yeah once. I saw "Batman Forever" in a drive in when I was pretty young.
  • First time was to Sky-Vue Drive-in Theater on Hwy 84 east of Dothan, AL, about 1952. I have no idea what we saw, but it established many years of fresh air moviegoing. My last time was on Old Metairie Road outside of New Orleans about 30 years ago, and it was still great fun. Purple Passions might have had something to do with it, along with the couch in my Chevy van, which I parked sideways and opened the sliding cargo door so we could do whatever nature directed and still watch the movie. Shame was never an option at a drive-in.
