I took my family to a Italian restaurant when my kids were little, and after the meal going out to my car my 4 year old boy came up to me proudly and said " Daddy you left this money on the table"...(Was the tip)

A few years ago at a Florida resort, my daughter was holding her baby on her lap at a restaurant and trying to cut off a bite of french toast with her fork, using her left hand (she is right-handed). The awkwardness of her force on the french toast made the plate suddenly tilt and the french toast went flying off it and landed IN THE PURSE of a lady at the next table! It was tooooo funny, and as soon as the lady started laughing hysterically, none of us could stop.

When my husband and I were dating, we were eating lunch in an Indian restaurant and the waiter spilled over a small plate of food on the table and he muttered "Oh shit". It was funny that with his prim and proper outfit and social graces he would know curse words in English.

Our son was 12 and decided he would spoil the family's dinner out because he was unhappy about something. After several attempts to please him, he only acted out worse, so we sent him to the car to wait for us. It only took us 5-10 minutes to finish and pay, but in that time, he'd managed to shift the gear to neutral and release the emergency break, rolling our car backward into another car. I'm glad to say that he survived his adolescence and grew into a fine man.

When I was younger my dad forgot to put his teeth in his mouth before we went out to eat. They were in a handkerchief in his pocket. He tugged too hard to get them out of his pocket and they went flying out of his pocket onto the next table. Needless to say...I was the only one laughing.

A new arrival in sunny 1980's Calcutta, escorted to a small teashack for some orientation regarding what she was letting herself in for by volunteering to spend three months working in the slums with us, very enthusiastic about everything including 'Ooooh - look at the size of the currants in this Bun (UK usage of 'Bun' ok?) ' The funny part was when she realised they were NOT currants. The unusual part is that she stayed, not for three months but SIX months! (love to Nurse Sylvia ; )
