Some movies are just classic and should be enjoyed over and over; we don't listen to a song just once.

Yes. There are a handful of comedies that I can watch over, and over, and over. . . I've watched Zoolander about 40 times (great airplane movie). Office Space about the same number of times.

Some, yes. Usually because I imagine myself in the company of people I like and admire, characters who I would like to associate with in the real world. These movies must have a depth to them that require repeated viewings to unravel the depth of meaning and layers. Each viewing gives me something a little bit more than the previous one. This is quite different from the simple movie where something happens and then, bam, it's time for the credits to roll. Not all movies qualify as having this quality of writing and interpretation from the director and players, but it is a good day when I find one.
