Ugh, I'm having one of those days where most things are bugging me. (Well, most things at work were bugging me.) My family isn't bugging me (yet).

People on the road: 1: people who don't understand that unless there is a sign saying "no turn on red" you can make a right turn on a red light, as long as no one else is coming. It won't make the world end, I promise. 2: people who think the speed limit is actually 15 MPH higher than the maximum safe speed for the road. 3: people who think their car only operates in two modes. Scuicidally fast, and dead stop.Nothing in life is that important, slow down. 4: People who drive while talking on their cell phones.I don't want to die because you have to talk about the he said/she said crap with all of your friends on the road. Go hands free or pull over. 5: people who think that getting right on my bumper on a one lane road will make me go faster. No, it will make me pull the handbrake. 6: people who gun it through parking lots, almost hit someone and then give them the finger for driving like a sane person. HOW DARE they drive responsibly? People in grocery stores: 1: people who get in the express lane, get all their items scanned, realize they forgot something, and go get it, making everyone late. This defeats the purpose of the lane. I don't care if you forgot your cheetos, I am in the express lane to get done quickly, not wait for you to be stupid. 2: people who pay by check for less than 10 items. get a check card, use a credit card or pay cash. Just beacuse you need 5 boxes of popcorn does not mean you have to delay everyone else while you find your billion forms of ID. 3: People who think they have to park their baskets in the middle of the aisle, while they look over the selection on the shelves. Then if you say "excuse me" they look at you like you just ate their child. These people are another reason grocery stores need bouncers.

Some of the bickering on AB gets way out of hand. It's disgusting. Peoples feelings end up being hurt and friendships are destroyed. I think it's natural for us to want to be helpful or defend a friend. We've all done it, if not here, then in real life. But I believe that sometimes we need to stay out of it and let the ones involved work it out on their own. Jumping in and trying to fix things isn't always a good idea. If we feel the need to jump in, then we should say our piece and move on. Taking sides and turning it into all out war is ridiculous. Being a busybody isn't acceptable in my opinion. And it certainly isn't helpful. The consequences have an effect on all of us indirectly. When a few users ruin the AB experience of another user, and this user decides to leave, it affects other users indirectly. As a result, I, or maybe you, have now lost a friend because of the actions of others. I seriously doubt anyone ever considers this when they are in the heat of the moment. It wouldn't be a bad idea if all of us took some time to consider how our actions may affect others. Sound cliche? Well maybe. It is a bad idea? No.
