secret chiefs 3? they're pretty damn obscure. here's a video by them, though you should check out the album "book of horizons" to get an actual idea of what they're about.

There's a web site called indierockcds.com. It's artists that you a have never heard of. You can listen to their music and order the CD - not sure if you can download it though. It's just interesting to listen to people who haven't got a record contract yet.

You will possibly of heard of them and there not that obscure but how about "Broken Social Scene" if not they are worth a look... Twee video but I love the song... Also if you dont want many vocals try a band called Dntel (who used to be the Postal Service.. and if you havent heard of the postal service well worth checking out.. Such great hights.. one of my top songs..see second video)
