If you are, or have been, married or in a long term relationship, do you ever find your spouse gets in the way a lot?

The longest relationship that I've had was 3 and a half years, and no. I found that we always enjoyed doing things together. We were pretty much inseparable. Even if we were apart for a day we would call each other and talk about books and all that for hours on end. =)

How do you mean this? Do you mean that they physically get in the way or do you mean in the way differently?

It depends. I have been married for over 20 years. The only times he has ever really been in my way was when we have only had one bathroom in the house.

No, he didn't. I think that if one partner feels this way, they should look at what's going on within themselves or within their marriage.

Gets in the way of what? Been married for 43 and we are a team. Your partner does not get in the way, your partner helps you find your way.

no, he never gets in my way. i enjoy being around him and he seems to feel the same about me.
