Can gargling too long with hydrogen peroxide cause you to get blisters or sores on your tongue?

It is very possible. On a safety data sheet Hydrogen peroxide has the following risks. Harmful by inhalation and if swallowed and Causes severe burns. Take my advise, and stop gargling with the stuff.

Most definitely. Stop immediately. Why are you doing it? Gum disease? Are you gargling or rinsing?

Buy 3% hydrogen peroxide. Dilute it 50% with water for use as a gargle/mouthwash.
