  • Murder.
  • The spontaneous or induced termination of a pregnancy.
  • To erase an unwanted and unplanned mistake.
  • Getting rid of the unborn child. There is no other meaning or purpose.
  • Given that a few weeks after my wife got pregnant we could hear a heart beat, at 20 weeks we had an ultrasound, saw the baby, saw the baby moving her little arms and legs, saw her sucking her thumb, and wiggle her toes.... Basically what I am saying is that abortion is killing a very small human. So yes, I would call it legal murder. if it is done chemically like the morning after pill, then no because the mother's body is rejecting it and you are not hacking up a person.
  • The ability to kill another and say you had the right.
  • It's ending the growth of an unconscious collection of cells, without any moral implications (due to lack of nervous system), for sure, within first 3-4 weeks of pregnancy. It's full blown stone cold baby murder in the third trimester, when everyone agrees the fetus can feel pain, and most fetuses, if forced at that stage to be born prematurely, could be viable with modern medicine. I'd say until about the second trimester, it has the moral status of ending the life of a simple invertebrate, like a jellyfish. I think killing jellfish or anything that can feel or experience even a rudimentary form of consciousness is wrong, but then again, if a jellyfish was going to sting me, I'd choose its death over my pain, and I probably wouldn't feel the same way about anything much more "aware". I guess the same amoral justification can be given for terminating a pregnancy at this stage.
  • It is MURDER!
