It's safe to attach ONLY plain, untreated wooden Clothes Pins to the birds cage; they like to play with and nibble on them with their beak. A small bag will run about $1.00 at a discount store, like Wal-Mart's.

Here is a link I use: http://www.tailfeathersnetwork.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=32 Just remember to use only vegetable-based dyes (NO PAINT) and make sure the metal parts are bird-safe (i.e. lead and zinc free). The parts should all be secure and big enough so the bird doesn't swallow or get caught in them.
