Help answer this question below.

My Compaq Presario 2200 can't turn it off and the screen stays black. It's plugged into an AC outlet, I can't reboot, and the on/off button stays lit. There is a lightning bolt light on in the front. How do I turn it off or reboot it?

    Press and hold power button for 5 seconds to shut it down.
    Press and release power button to reboot. (this may not work when something is hung / frozen / crashed...)

    If this happens a lot, your system may have become unstable to the point where you need to restore the system or reinstall the OS.
