i would give up smell to have the ability to read people;s minds. That way I will truly know if my husband truly does love me.

Interesting question. My answer is as follows: In return for the ability to read minds, I would sacrifice my sense of smell. Smell, of course, because I've come across alot of strong perfumes and dizzying colognes in my time and could do without both, I think. I couldn't give up hearing, because then, of course, how would I hear what people are thinking?? I need sight too, because I otherwise wouldn't know who's thinking what, which seems pretty weird, when you think about it. Taste I definitely want, because I enjoy cereal too much to sacrifice it just to be nosy. And touch...well, I guess I could do without that too, now that I think about it...

Your question is very interesting. Gain a great power and give up a mediocre one? I think I'd give up one for an upgraded version. Like I'd give up my normal sight for a chance at being able to do the superman x-ray vision thing. So long as I could turn it on and off at will. I'd be willing to give up hearing to hear thoughts. In my opinion, that is a fair trade off.

I think I'd give up taste and the super power I'd gain would be Spiderman capabilities. Maybe change the web slinging to something else, to avoid a lawsuit.

Well if I could taste without smell(debatable!) I'd easily give up smell for high-master Jedi powers. Imagine being able to bend weak minds to your will, move objects with your thoughts, and sense when your friends and loved ones might be in trouble just for starters. I might miss a certain smell or two, but no more nasty farts or icky scents for all that? Sign ME up!

I would give up smell for the ability to have Superman powers. I would love to fly and have super strength and his other powers.

Great question Nelson...I would want to be able to fly and I would give up my sense of taste. Hey if I can fly now I won't have time to eat... I will be to busy flying all over the planet. :)

thats a great question. i couldnt live without taste, smell, hearing and sight. But maybe without touch but no...I would miss the feeling of the wind blowing in my face and the feeling of raidrops of my skin. I am sorry but This sthings are so great that i wouldnt give any of them for a super power.
