It's eaisier to learn when you are young, but if you REALLY want it you can do it. Drums are the best instrument to learn, because you'll get s0o0o0o much rhythmic experience, and you could learn to play sick-nasty stuff that wind and string players probably couldn't. I'm not saying it's easy, but it's definitly worth it. : )

It seems that way. No one needs a guitar/bass player nowadays. Drummers are high in demand, thus leaving me to either A.) Live without getting a gig as a bass/guitar player, or B.) Learn how to drum in a couple weeks. I'm holding out for a gig as a bass player.
