Both. Sandy beaches to go in and take walks on. Rocky beaches are great for photography.
-
Sandy. The rocks hurt my feet!
-
I like rocky beaches i just like the noise the waves make as they break ove the rocks, it's soothing.
-
Sandy beaches. I don't like putting my feet in the water for them to get pounded, bruised and cut by the rocks in the water.
-
Oh i just love all beaches - they are so beautiful :)
-
Well, Sandy is really sweet and she has a nice singing voice. Rocky is a really nice, down to earth guy. I kind of like them both equally.
-
Sandy beaches... I use to live at the coast with my father... My favorite place to relax... in the sand with a book....
-
Sandy. I like to walk on the beach with no shoes on.
-
Sandy, definitely.
-
oh Sandy, the whiter and softer the better..
-
Rocky with caves to climb in. Monterey has beach like that. :) Of course, I wear shoes when I am doing that.
-
For me it doesn't matter. I love being at the beach, but if I had to choose one it would have to be sandy so I could walk barefoot.
-
Sandy. The rocks hurt my tootsies ;-[
-
well, sandy beaches i guess. but each of them have their pro's and con's sandy for example is nicer to walk on, but it gets in your shoes... etc
-
Sandy Beaches, Most Definitely !
-
Both as in BIG rocks and fabulous sand and if possible tidepools for exploring.
-
Sandy for walking and relaxing on but rocky for viewing and photographing.
-
My husband and I HATE sand!!! Ugh...that stuff gets everywhere...we're both from the Northeast US. To us, the beach should have big rocks, and cold water. The best part is that rocks keep their heat from the sun long after the sun has gone down, and there's nothing better than a blanket spread out on a big rock by the ocean. :o)
-
Sandy beaches, fine sand ... or deep water with sheer stone cliffs, come in a close second, but I prefer the beach. ... but sometimes too much sand can be a problem ...
-
Sand. I surf, and believe me, it makes a difference when you get turfed onto the sand, as opposed to rocks.
-
Rocky - you never know what you might find and they are great fun to scramble over. Sandy beaches are BORING - what you see is what you get, acres of featurless sand,,,,,the horror, the horror....
-
Sandy beaches when it's not windy, if it's windy give me rocks
-
I like the rocks they are fun to try and climb on and I don't like the sand in between the toes, icky, icky!
-
Sandy, clear water beaches.
-
Both sandy and rocky. I prefer a sandy beach when walking along the shore and swimming. Rocky beaches are for exploring, especially ones with caves I can climb and explore.
-
Rocky, definetly. But if a rocky beach has a very small sandy beach inside of it... That's the best thing in the world!
-
Sandy. For lots of reason's: Easier on the bare feet, Nice cool sand feels good to sink your feet into, rocks hurt more when you crash onto them while body surfing, and most of all--The only way I am getting buried in rocks is if they are diamonds!
-
i have been to both. let me tell you, if you are going to bask in the sun, walk barefoot, rocky beaches aren't the best idea. the thing with "rocky" beaches is that many virgin beaches tend to be rocky and that makes them unique and special and less touristy, which is always a plus. on the other hand when walking on small rocks they can certainly give your feet a hard time, i speak from experience. i like them both but if i were going to bask and walk barefoot, sandy by far. if i am wearing shoes at the beach then rocky.
-
I prefer to have sandy beachen in South India, Merina Beach as it is good in mnature and good to walk all the day around
-
this is a good question but it depends. if its warm out then sandy but if it's cold then rocky
-
Sandy beaches
-
sandy
-
I like them both
-
yes, i love both of them.
-
Ooh! Good question! I actually love the drama of a rocky coastline, but, I would have to say that I would probably prefer sandy beaches because, well, I guess they are just easier to get around on.
-
rocky beaches are good for photo opportunities, but if you just want to relax and not worry about getting cut while walking the beach, the sandy beaches are good, preferably the ones with really fine sand :)
-
nothing but the sand between my toes....:}
-
They both are beautiful and luckily I live within walking distance of sand and 45 minute drive to rocky. California has so much beach, of course.
-
I would prefer sandy beaches. I'm not really a fan of rocky beaches, it hurts my feet.
-
Galveston Beach at least where we were bunking was rocky. Try tanning on a rocky beach. Sandy please.
-
Nice white sandy beaches :-)
-

-
i like sandy beach
-
i prefer sandy beaches. white sand to be specific :) rocky beaches are only good for sight seeing
-
Sandy beaches. Cause if you walk with your special someone you can have a nice stroll with your shoes off.
-
Sandy. The first time I went to Maine we went to the ''beach'', it was all rocks! WTF? That aint' no beach yo...
-
I would definitely prefer rocky beaches. I love to look through rocks to find ones that are great for tumbling.
-
Sandy all the way if I intend to laze around but rocky if I intend to explore the tide pools.
-
LONG SANDY BEACHES WITH WARM WATER
-
Sandy. Girls don't lay out on the rocks. :)
-
Sand, I want to lay down along the shore and just get that great tan. I couldn't do that on a rocky beach, unless of course I'm on a huge rock.
-
probably sandy...but rocky ones have some interesting things in them to look at :)
-
Sandy beaches are my favorite of the two.
-
Sandy beaches are my fave. The rocky ones just hurt my feet.
-
sandy beach for me
-
if it looks like this, then rocky all the way but sandy is good too - just as long as it's not like pebbles and these are ROCKS :) (couldn't upload the pic but here's the link http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b195/raiahzngstr/monterey2.jpg

I like sandy beaches with rocks for the scenery: like Anse Soleil in the Seychelles: http://www.iloveseychelles.com/beaches/anse-soleil/
-
The shores of rock and age are harsh in their beauty. Few find comfort in treading her craggy skin. It is loneliness and abrasive individuality of which her shores sing, and it is divine.
-
Sandy for sure!!!! But I loved England's beaches that were rocky, with the overcast of the visit we were there it would only be a waste anyway as it was a little chilly to stay out for long.
-
Sandy beach
-
Sandy. I have cuts all over my feet from a rocky beach two days ago :(
-
I like Sandy beaches because they are easy to walk on, but rocky beaches are more interesting because they have little crabs and lots of plant life in them!
-
i like both and then again i dont... i like the sandy ones because the sand is soft but when you get out of the water the sand sticks to you..... i like the rocky ones because the are usually pretty.... but they hurt if you step on them.... i think its too conflicting so i dont think of it much...... +2
