Because of the problems associated with dropshipping. If you have the item on hand, once you receive payment, all that needs to be done is mailing. No waiting, no hassles, no middle men. When you dropship, you are depending on other people to fulfill a request. What happens if they are backordered on your item? Some backorders take 2-3 months to fulfill. Is the person supposed to wait all that time and wonder if you scammed them or not? That's not what Ebay is about. If you auction an item, you should have the item right there, and complete the transaction in a timely manner ALWAYS.

I sell on eBay all the time, and I would never rely on a dropshipping company, to fill my orders. If for some reason they don't come through and my bidder doesn't get their item, or they get it, but not for a month or more; that reflects badly on me and I would get bad feedback and lose customers.
