Many theorists believe it to be off the coast of Bimini in the Caribbean. Apparently there are some very shallow 'building' type things and what may pass for highways there and it is believed to be part of Atlantis. Discovery channel has run several special interests programs about this subject in the last few months. Definitely worth watching.

From my understanding it is a part of the Greek island Santorini located on the Aegean sea.A part of the island fell into the sea at the time Atlantis existed.

I have heard both the Mediterranean, also the Atlantic Ocean, and off the coast of Italy.
