  • My niece met her hubby-to-be (man I feel old) on eHarmony, and he's a good guy so it's as good as the people using it at least.
  • some people have great success with dating sites. i think they come across as a little desperate though...
  • Eharomy! lol i got matched up with a bunchhh of peoplee!! but of course it cost alot to see any of them...
  • The site that causes your computer to crash, so you have to go outside.
  • Answerbag.........there are a lot of people on this site I would love to meet and date!
  • MYSPACE AND YAHOO PERSONALS
  • NONE ^^ If you meet someone on the internet, is better if it just happen. Chats, games, through friends, forums. Just random. :)
  • My opinion about eHarmony is that it works for some people and doesn't work for others. I met my current bf off of eHarmony. eHarmony is the most expensive out of all the online dating sites and you would be wise to look for an eHarmony coupon code from such sites as: http://OnlineDatingMatches.com. Match.com and Yahoo Personals on the other hand, seem to cater to a more "casual" dating type of crowd. Their prices are a little cheaper than eHarmony, but you really can't be sure that the person you are talking to is of "top quality" like some of the eHarmony matches can be. Not saying that all of the eHarmony members are perfect, but eHarmony seems to attract more quality singles than other sites. It basically all depends on what you are looking for.
  • I met my husband on "Pal Talk", 7 years ago.
  • the ability to filter through many people is definitely an advantage of online dating-you get to learn things about the person before deciding if you want to meet them or not. I think it can be a positive thing, although I do agree that meeting someone in "real life" is more exciting.
  • A philosopher friend of mine has written a paper demonstrating the unlikelihood of a true friendship emanating from a computer meeting. He bases his argument on the Aristotlilian model of friendship. Aristotle devised a ten point model for the development and maintenance of a friendship, much of which entails personal contact. Some of the personal points cannot be attained via the internet.
  • Well...i think Internet dating only works for certian people. Most would be better off just sticking to dating in real life.
  • Most are a waste of time. I am only listed with two free dating sites for disabled persons like myself.I have made a few friends and have a few fans.
  • I have a membership currently to match.com. I haven't had a date in about a month. Last week I sent out 5 invitations. Up from 2 the week before. The invitations were all about 4 days prior to intended meeting, which would have been on a Monday or Tuesday. I did NOT recieve any acceptances. I was only refused once. The rest didn't even bother to rsvp. 4 or them I had exchanged several emails with. My opinion is that the women on match are only out for an ego boost from the attention. I do have a friend who met her husband (he's awesome) through eharmony.
  • A co-worker of mine used match.com to find and date his currently new wife.
  • Never used a pay site like match.com, but once I am in a stable environment and if I am still single I might give it a try.
  • I signed up for one of those websites, once. I got matched up with an inflatable doll.
  • I had decent luck wit Yahoo! Personals.
  • A guy i know used EHarmony, and is going on his second year with the girl he was matched to.. She's very pretty, they actually fit each other perfectly, their interests and likes and dislikes, its kinda creepy.. its like they matched him with a female version of himself, which ive told him lol
  • I met my wife through match.com. So I guess it worked out pretty well.
  • yahoo personals i left over 40 messages and only 1 date another woman has been leaving me messages and we have a date planned for next week it seem's that unless you earn $100,000 per year or are very good looking they don't give you a chance im 39 and all the women i messaged are between 35-40 its not like im looking for a 21 yr old barbie just a women my age but i haven't totally soured yet and i will keep trying
  • i just haven't had any luck with that site; i used it previously and am back on now; when it expires next month, i won't renew; it all depends on the person; it just hasn't worked for me; i found e-harmony too cumbersome; i could never get over the hurdles. i like more informal, cheapy sites; i've met some people (mostly cheapy guys) well, anyway; i think the websites are better than the bar scene, or harrassing people at the gym, or whatever

  • i am currently a member of one of those sites. They can be quite fun but i have found that there are lots of strange people on there. I think its a matter of sifting through and finding someone genuine..quite a few time wasters, looking for ego boosts on there too.
  • eHarmony wouldn't take me. Said I couldn't be matched. Proved 'em wrong. Found my soulmate at another site. I say eHarmony can bite it. And I also say that at any site, you have to sift through a lot of junk before you find "the one."
  • e-harmony was a big waste of money for me.I met no one of interest in a year time. And I am the type that draws men to me.
  • I have never met anyone whos ever had success using them. However I did meet my wife using the internet.
  • EHarmony has a great reputation (don't they have thousands of marriages each month?). Two of my friends are now married to the guys they met on a dating site (one was match.com). Another is happily in a serious relationship with her guy (eHarmony.com). This place might be useful, as it's got links to the free trials these places have occasionally: http://www.mydatinggenie.com/Free_Trials.html Of course you might get lucky and find someone during the free trial period ;o)
  • I met my bf through Match.com. We've been dating for a year and 4 months and going strong!! I never would have thought that I would end up dating a boy I met online but life is funny.....
