  • Put a light lipstick on first and then the shiny lip gloss and it stays on twice as longer. Or put your cover girl concealer on your lips first then the lip gloss.
  • Don't eat, don't drink, don't kiss. . . .just kidding. You might try using a lipstick "sealer" over the gloss (usually it is clear and is best applied sparingly and with a proper lip brush). Or a primer under the gloss to increase stying power. For sealers try something like "My Lips are Sealed" available at beuty supply stores in the US. For primer try Sally Hansen's line of lip products (there is a plumper/primer, a matte primer, and it goes on and on) which is usually available at US drugstores.
  • If you want the shiny look for your lips try using a very light eye shadow powder at the pouty part of your lips. It gives the allusion of shiny and pouty lips. You also should not wear lipgloss during the summer time. The reason for this is because shiny lip gloss may make your face seem more oily looking. www.marykay.com/lindavaughn
  • It'a all about the lip liner! Put on a thin layer of nude lipliner before you apply your lip gloss or lipstick, this will give the moisture something to "grab" onto and will last a lot longer.
  • First you have to apply chapstick and THEN your shiny lip gloss. :) Love ya
  • Wear lightly colored lipstick under it.
  • Apply some loose powder or compact powder on your lipstick, and then your lip gloss. If you don't wear lip color, apply foundation or concealer on your lips, then lip gloss.
  • First, fill in your lips with a lip liner that matches the color of your lips. Next, apply a waxy balm -(I use chapstick). Lastly, spread on a layer (or more) of lip gloss. It sounds so simple but I swear, it really does work! (I got this advice out of a beauty book.) Hope this helps!
