No my friend, even though you would not handle cash the Licenseing Board will not issue one. It is unfortunate because people make mistakes and sometimes that felony will follow one for the rest of thier life, sorry.

I have heard from attorneys that in California you can still apply, but it all depends on what type of felony you committed. If it is a charge where dishonesty, fraud, stealing or something where you ripped someone off was your charge you would not even have a chance. I would still give it a shot. If you can get good character witnesses, referrals from past employers and so forth you may have a chance if you could plead your reasons and remorse in front of a panel of peers like they would in California. I have a felony too, this is why i researched this question for myself. I work for a RE company currently, just dont have my licenses yet. This is the answer our company attorneys gave me. Disclose everything as well.
