I must agree - old hotels & bed & breakfasts throughout Gettysburg are said to be haunted. The most commonly sighted is the Farnsworth House (you can still see the bullet holes in the brick wall).
A great bed & breakfast is the Baladerry Inn. The original part of the house was used as a field hospital during/after the battle (as were many of the farm houses). The current dining room was used for surgery. Many a man lost at least one limb to the surgeon's saw in that room. Almost none of the patients were given anesthesia. There are also reports of non-military spirits in the house, including some children.
I've stayed there many times - even if you don't encounter a spirit, Suzanne will make you the best breakfast in town. Definitely worth the trip!
Without being funny, I would say most if not all. Horrendous things happened in Gettysburg, taking the lives a hundreds of people. They even have "Haunted Gettysburg" tours: http://www.hauntedgettysburg.com/
I say definitely the colton inn :). i love that hotel, it's also located directly across from the national cemetery, so if you're a paranormal freak u can get a good view of the cemetery from some rooms. if not they do have benches outside and u can sit outside and watch for activity. trust me my sister got a good view of some activity from our room. i've heard noises in the room like the toilet seat being put down when everyone was asleep, and then at nite time i woke up to the sound of drums behind my room which was pretty weird lol. I have also heard rumors of the farnsworth inn is haunted, the cashtown inn was labelled haunted by TAPS the people from the sci-fi show ghost hunters, the holiday is supposed to be haunted also.
Stayed in the Holiday Inn and didn't have a problem. Maybe the ghosts don't like the accomodations there.
Cashtown Inn TAPS investigated there once
The cashtown inn and farnsworth inn FOR SURE are haunted, they just investigated the cashtown on ghost hunters, and plus many stories told about both inns. The colton is an inexpensive hotel and i've had a few experiences there. heard someone in the bathroom and military drums. it's just down the road from the battlefield and right across the street from the cemetery (you can see the cemetery outside the room windows :P ). the holiday inn right next to the jenny wade house is supposed to be haunted also. but like everyone else said, many probably are, but i think in my opinion these may be sure bets.
all of them ..muhahahha
all of the old inns to have some kind of story that gives them a fell of stepping back in time.
all of em muhahahahaha
