  • Yes they can. The procedure for "tying" the fallopian tubes is called Tubal Ligation. The undoing of this procedure is known, obviously enough, as Reverse Tubal Ligation. The procedure basically just entails re-attaching the two severed ends of each fallopian tube, and is generally done through Laparoscopic surgery, so the pain is kept at a minimum, and recovery time is a few days. The chances of pregnancy after a reversal is high, however the risk that it will be a tubal pregnancy also increases. While vasectomies for men and tubal ligations for women are usually covered by health insurance, a reversal generally is not. I did some research and only came up with one place offering the price of their services, which was $6700 (apparently this is a discount from their normal charge of $7700.)
