That is a hilarious question. Sure everyone is saying it's a cartoon and not real, but you could say that about every work of fiction out there from Flintstones to Star Wars. Still, the writers sit around and build inner realities based on the world they create. It's because Hanna Barbera writers back in the 70s didn't care about making sense, they were too busy partying with the Sid & Marty Croft gang.
