    Determine what the customer wants and deliver it.

    It depends on the size of the company and the type of product/service, but it might mean things like developing and defending brand, determining how to penetrate new markets or developing a sales plan.

    1. Researching WHO the consumers are for the company's product (middle class? mostly parents? Single males? etc)
    2. Researching WHAT the consumers want
    3. Researching HOW consumers are affected by the advertising AND the products themselves
    4. Conducting the advertising campaign based on that research
    5. Researching the results of sales after those ads have been presented
    6. Performing any other functions set forth by the company president (i.e., changing the designs, colors, etc. of the ads or products, as well as researching & developing new products)
