  • Yes !! And I'm very particular about who I allow inside that bubble. I don't like overly touchy feely people. Especially strangers.
  • Yes. It depends on the context as I am used to dense crowds of neutral people, but if there is no good reason for it, I get a little touchy. One of my coworkers does this often and won't take the hint from me either moving away or telling him to step back. I think I'll just body-check him into the CNC milling machine.... FYI - the average American has a "bubble" of about 2.8 feet.
  • Sort of, but you really have to not know me for any close contact to make me uncomfortable.
  • I have no problem with being close to someone. It used to make me feel uncomfortable, but now I've learned that if I look them in the eye it can be rather enjoyable.
  • I get uncomfortable when people I dont know touch me like waitresses etc. I dont know why because Im very outgoing but I guess I just dont feel like being touched
  • heck yah... (unless they're REEEEEALLY hot, then i might make an acception :))

  • In a crowded area, my bubble shrinks to nothing, and I don't care. But if there's plenty of room for people to stand around in, my stress factor goes up a little bit. It's similar to the rule of urinal use for guys... when at least 3 are available, leaving one open as a "spacer" in-between two guys taking a leak (never take the middle urinal!) :) Typically, in uncrowded areas, my bubble is just shorter than an arms-length distance around me. The bubble gets closer the more familiar I am with the person I am engaging.
