  • I lived in South Korea for three years and mainly ate a variety of Ramyeon (Ramen) noodles...chicken cheese ramyeon, bulgogi(beef) ramyeon. I recall a dish called japchaebop which was noodles and vegtables and rice. I recall that mose dishes were seasoned with garlic and some type of red peppery powder.

  • Hundreds and hundreds? Italian dishes alone are too numerous to mention, with red sauce, white sauce, meat sauce, veggies, cheese, desserts, baked. And then add the Asian dishes which I love from China and Vietnam and Thailand. I love rice noodles and Soba and Udon. I make Pad Thai and Bahmi noodles often. I make noodle cakes/pillows and serve veggies on top of them. I make desserts with them and flavor them with coconut and dye them bright colors:-)
  • Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo is the only one that matters to me :)
  • The only thing I know is RAMEN Noodles :) I would love to try asian dishes though.
  • less asians in the powder
  • I don't think there are pasta made from rice flour, even though some Asian noodles can be made from wheat flour too. Another reason would be: we don't eat pasta with chopsticks.
  • Most pasta noodles are made from wheat flour, whereas Asian noodles are often made from a variety of flours, including wheat but also rice, buckwheat (which is not related to wheat), mung beans, and tapioca, for instance. They also usually come in different kinds of shapes: Asian noodles are usually thin and long, whereas pasta noodles are sometimes thin and long but can also be all kinds of crazy shapes (bowties, spirals, pillows, etc.). Another difference is how they're used. Pasta is usually used with tomato, herb, or cream sauces; Asian noodles are usually used in thin soups or stirfries.
