  • Not at all :)
  • Not in the least.
  • I think they can *act* stupid sometimes (often). But, generally, no. They are not stupid based on their age alone. There are plenty of stupid people of all ages!!!
  • I don't think kids are stupid at all, Some teenagers I do think are a little self centered.
  • Age isn't an indicator of "smarts". Lots of times a young person's perspective makes me look at something a different and refreshing way.
  • Not stupid. Inexperienced, and sometimes naive, but never stupid based on age alone. I've met some very smart teenagers.
  • No, and people who do need to get off of their high-horses. Kids and teenagers are not usually as mentally developed (not coming out quite the way I am trying to say it) as adults are, but by no means are they stupid. There isn't a set standards of things to know to be intelligent, it is all proportional to what the person knows at his/her age. I really am having a hard time explaining exactly what I mean, but you'll know if you have ever met an extremely bright 8-year-old and held them in comparison to a slightly dull 30-something. You can't really apply "stupid" to an entire group of people-- that's rather prejudiced.
  • No, ignorant sometimes. But not stupid.
  • No. Sometimes they even show wisdom...the way that they think can be refreshing; they haven't yet had the chance (in most cases) to become jaded.
  • No, not at all. They just don't have as much information. Though sometimes the simpler the better. EVERYONE was a kid once- but sometimes it's hard to remember what that was like.
  • No. They are developing and that can sometimes be chaotic.
  • No - Absolutely not - Definately not - No Way.
  • Not any more than adults.
  • No not at all , I think they are very keen and smart
  • I do not. My experience has been just the opposite.
  • Absolutely not! Differing perspectives does not equal stupidity. In fact, I think it is adults who often forget how to see things from another viewpoint.
  • Not at all!! We've all been there :)
  • I am fairly intelligent and i was a teenager and a child!
  • im a teenager. im not stupid at all.
  • Kids and teenagers are people...so the question could be, "Do you think people are stupid?" Every person is unique, we each have our own views, feelings and attitudes. Granted, the younger you are, the less life experience you have but that doesn't mean you don't have valid views, feelings and attitudes. I think we all have moments where we have done something "stupid", as well as our moments of brillance. Sadly, people seem to remember most our stupid moments!!
  • Being stupid and making decisions that may be stupid are two totally different things...everyone makes stupid decisions from time to time.
  • Not at all. I think that sometimes they lack experience in life that might lead to some not wise choices, but that's part of growing up.
  • Nope! I've be considered a legal adult since the middle of April, and I'm still making stupid mistakes and decisions... That's part of life and it makes us who we are...
  • My neice can kick out about 1 Soduko (spl chk) an hour while I put it down and give up. Most are unbelievably bright these days.
  • I think teenagers, have more of a feel to reality now a days, then they did 20 yrs ago. Throught TV, and how parents are acting now. Some more then others, some are to sheltered and when they move out or go to college are going to freak cause they didnt know that people could be that mean.
  • If teenagers are stupid, why do most adults have so much trouble helping us with our homework?
  • I think that children are VERY bright. The amount of information they are able to learn and process is astounding!! If we all continued to learn like that throughout our lives we'd have a nation of Scholars!! I think that teenagers are ALSO very bright. What happens to them though is they get locked into the "you're just a kid, you don't know what I know" stereotype and this causes a great deal of emotional turmoil for them. They WANT to be treated with respect but they don't realize that respect is earned because they've not had to go through that yet. All of this confusion and emotional stress causes "issues" that quite often result in wrong decisions and inappropriate behavior thereby leading people to believe teenagers don't have any sense/brains and can't be trusted with important responsibilities. The worst thing of all is that most of the time we (the adults) quite often become so far removed from our memories of teenage-dom that we forget what it was like and do the exact same thing to them we HATED having done to us! The cycle of life. Sighhhh....
  • If teenagerS are stupid, why is your grammar so bad? Are you one of us? Really now. This question is simply offensive. Do you have any idea how many teenagers are on this site and are highly intelligent. I'm not speaking just IQ wise, I'm saying all around smart. People in all age groups will have "stupid" people, but to generalize like that is just atrocious!
  • In most cases no I don't believe kids and teenagers are dumb and there aresome who even show wisdom way beyond their years but as in every case there are exceptions to the rules the only kids and teens I think are dumb are the ones who think their parents are maen and are trying to ruin their lives by not letting them have any fun and that they know more about sex and drugs and teen drinking etc than their parents or other adults when in reality they only think they do I could never understand peer pressure even when I was a kid what is wrong with being your own individual why do you need to have sex at 13 or 14 just cause all your other friends are not virgins or claim not to be virgins why do you feel cause all your other friends are smoking dope you have to do it too how about standing up to them and saying no sorry not for me. I am going to shut up now before people mistake my comments for judging kids for doing these things all I am saying is don't ever let anyone pressure you into doing anything you feel is not right or that you are not ready for even if all your other friends are doing it it still doesn't make it right for you nothing wrong with being your own person
  • Most of the time! But I guess they're young and they will learn! I really have a hard time with teenagers because half the time they are so rude and disrepectful!
  • no--I think that they are just ruled by hormones....;)
  • No, of course not. But I know exactly that all of them think grown-up people old.
  • it all depends ontheir mannerisms and how they have been bought up
  • No, i don't. I'm a teenager. Sometimes I do stupid things, but I'm not stupid.
  • No... Kids and teenagers are more like "dumbasses"... A case of "Dumbass" is easily cured with school and learning life and relationship skills. You don't get to be "stupid" until you are my age and have ignored the above studies. I envy the innocence of kids and the "know it all" bravado of teenagers. There's nothing stupid about 'em.
  • No. Sometimes in their innocence they come up with the purest of answers one must think they are sages!
  • Well, at this day of age and as time passes on, they're not stupid, but they are out of control! Which is why I have little to no tolerance for children, and I don't want them.
  • no not at all, but they don't have experince in life.
  • If they are stupid its cause their parents didnt raise them right or teach them anything, but noone is stupid, some may just be slow at things.
  • no I don't. I just heard a good saying the other night. "There ain't nothin so bad that ya can't make somethin out of it". I thought that was pretty cool.
  • its in our nature to be but some kids are even more mature then those who claim to be and those proud adults all they do is put them down lol so u gotta ask yourslef who is the real stupid one the one for not listening or the one for listening think about it.
  • Yes, I think most kids are.
