When i was a kid, i wanted to be a dancer. I was good at it, and so i learned very fast and got bored in class having to wait for the other kids to catch up. So my mum let me quit. I wish she hadn't. I still wish i had become a professional dancer.

I wanted to grow up as a professional artist and it has come true in the past and now again as a serious business.

Yes, and yes. I wanted to be a doctor, but by the time 12th grade rolled around, I was so burnt out on school, I didn't pursue it. I tried going back, (pre-med), after the birth of my 3rd child, but it was just too much work. My job DEMANDED overtime, (or you were fired), and those classes are absolutely butt-kickers! I found that between the baby, (some health problems), work, (outrageous overtime), and my age, that it was just too much. I do regret it. I absolutely love the medical field.

I guess my dream did come true. i just did not realize it, until you asked this question. In my psychological mind, i guess i always wanted to be in law enforcement. this is my 42nd year and counting. I originally wanted to be in advertising and went to college for that purpose. one day it just hit me to apply as a police officer in my hometown. i was hired on the spot and have been here ever since. I like the idea of helping people in need. i like the idea of protecting people from the bad people in our society. i like the idea of slamming the jailhouse door on child molesters, perverts and drug dealers that sell drugs to children. i like the idea of protecting the Constitution of The United States. i like the idea that i am the only mentor to many children, that do not know their father. Yes, my dream did come true and thank you for asking this question. it made me understand why i do, what i do.

No. I wanted to be a race car driver. I don't regret the lack of safety but sure would like to feel the rush just once!
-
I wanted to be a veterinarian. I did not. I don't think I regret it. I think it would be too hard for me to put animals down.

I had many dreams, mostly not exact careers. I dreamed of finding a partner in life. I dreamed of traveling and I dreamed of doing something with animals (Horseshoer, vet, trainer, breeder, not sure what) I did find a remarkable man that I have traveled all over with for 34 years and we have had animals and bred them and trained them, from parrots to horses and cattle, and all spaces in between. Never had a job outside of being self-employed with my husband. SO I guess it did come true, just not the way I expected.

I wanted to be a Hollywood stuntman. I even took martial arts. Of course there isn't much call for a Hollywood stuntman in the farmlands of Connecticut. By the time I made it out to California (in a black out...long story...) Dar Robinson, my hero, had been killed. I thought, hey, retail doesn't suck so bad after all! So I stayed in retail for 16 years and eventually made it over to the entertainment industry 2 1/2 years ago at the tender age of 39. And never an airbag did I meet.

No, but how many people grow up to be a rock star or professional athlete? Regret, no. I did better than I thought I would when I graduated high school.
