Are there any programs in the Metro Detroit area (MI) to assist convicted felons find employment?

The more that I learn the more that I feel the need to learn more. I do not know anything about the judicial system, but I understand what it would feel like returning home from a stint of incarceration. I have seen a lot of my old "Wattsonians" neighbors over the years greet their young sons from doing time and if they were the ones who really wanted to stay out of "stir" they were able to find some kind of gainful employment or training situation if they were clever enough to choose a sympathetic employer. Not vice versa. Good luck to all of the felons who are trying to move on. We should all get as many chances as we honestly need and are willing to work for. All of us.
