Pablo Neruda was a surrealist poet. Much of his work makes as much sense as some of Salvador Dalí's paintings. Don't even try to figure it out.

There is a huge difference between "4" and "four". "Four" represents the integer, 4. "4" could represent any number between 3.5 and 4.4999 recurring. 4 isn't the same for everybody. For farmers, it most likely means an integer. For scientists, it could mean anything or nothing.

4 is the same 4 for everybody. All sevens are equal. You can write any number numerically or spelled out, and it means the same thing. four is the same as 4 which is the same as IV. seven is the same as 7 which is the same as VII.
