  • Yes I do. When a story has real elements to it, I tend to find it more interesting, more humane. That said, I've learned through constant movie watching and reading that the "based on a true story" tag-line is being thrown around more carelessly nowadays. Writers are taking more liberties with those to make them supposedly more interesting to movie audiences. If you like those kinds of movies, I strongly recommend this site which gives you the true story behind movies based on a true story (I hope that made sense) : ) http://www.chasingthefrog.com/
  • No, I don't. Changing or adding to what actually occured, even a tiny bit, can drastically change the way a story is seen. It can alter the entire history. Stories based on true stories are usually seen as true representations of history and if they are not, it should be CLEARLY noted.
  • I really do like the movies based on true stories. Even though I know they take liberties with the story, it lets me know whether or not I want to know more. And then I can research it.
  • this is another good source for real articles and pics behind the movies based on true stories. www.geocities.com/traciy2000/index.html also http://moviesbasedontruestoriesdatabase.blogspot.com/
