  • The Signature Room in Chicago is the fanciest restaurant I have been to.
  • Tavern on the Green in New York is the fanciest place I've eaten.
  • Most upscale high quality restaurants are local so unless you're a local or have visited you will not know them. There are some that are known on a national level though such as: Tavern on the Green The Russian Tea Room The French Laundry TRU Trotter's and the like.
  • The fanciest resturant I have evr been to lately is "Red Lobster".
  • Most restaurants are fast food. They are sometimes on every corner of major highways and streets. It's not unusual to have 4 on one corner and 3 miles down the road another couple, same franchise. But that doesn't mean that there aren't great restaurants out there. But I think some of the best aren't big fancy places but great small mom and pop places that serve wonderful food, very often ethnic styles of cuisines. I've eaten at all of those kinds of places. They all have their purpose. Since so many Americans insist on eating out so often, there is no way that they could afford to eat in a fancy restaurant.
  • Mom's Home Cooking......Beats all other restaurants Ive ever been to. And I've seen many around here from a mile away to a thousand miles away. For I haul food to many of them at times....M.C.S.
