Now now, no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid people. (I'M KIDDING...gees) Well the best bet is to inform them of the correct way to ask such a question. =)

Go to another website! What you may think is stupid someone else may recieve a smile from it. Someones always going to ask silly questions thats why we give them silly answers.

You can't. As long as there are questions to ask you will always get the odd stupid and ignorant one in there.

Let them ask their questions. Maybe one day they will read an answer and it will let them see how they are viewing things. I rather them ask questions and see what others have to say, then just sit back and keep assuming.

Simply put, you don't. What may be stupid and ignorant to you is very important and timely to another.

You can't really stop anyone outside of taping their mouth shut and tying them to something or killing them. But no one says you have to answer them or even listen to them. I don't think it is possible to even go a day without asking someone a question even if that someone is ourselves.
