What color shoes & socks with classic Navy Blue sport coat, light blue shirt, and tan (more gold than brown) slacks? Black or dark brown?

I would go more with the dark brown option. Just be sure your shoes and belt match : )

Brown with brown socks. Yes, your belt should match your shoes.

Black (shoes and socks) works with almost anything. This collection of garments will also work well with brown. Do not wear black socks with brown shoes, ever.
