They heat up (not burn) the marijuana to the point where the THC turns to vapor...which you then inhale.

Heated air turns the cannabinoids(active ingredients) into a gas. In this process none of the vegetable matter is burned. The boiling point of THC is much lower than that of the toxins so this means you can get the THC in form of vapor, while leaving the toxins with the veggies.
