Help answer this question below.
A bigot can encompass prejudice of any kind.
I am not going to give you the dictionary definition of bigot.
A bigot is someone who accepts a stereotype of someone, whoever that person is, and chooses to not examine it. They, by not doing so, make the choice to hate.
Bigots look at the target of their hatred and, for no reason other than they exist, they hate that person.
Name the person, you can name the bigot. I am hated because I am Rromani ("Gypsy") and bisexual. Whites, Blacks, Asians, homosexuals, Americans, Chinese, Satanists, Jehovah's Witnesses, dark skinned Blacks, light skinned Blacks, Germans, Muslims, red heads, biseuxals, Jews, Japanese, women...
I could make a list of the people hated that would take up three feet. I made my list as random as I can to prove a point: bigotry is bigotry and it does not need logic to exist.
Usually it is a "minority" who is hated but that is not always so. Whites are the "majority" in America. They are subject to bigotry as well.
Bigotry comes from taunting to hatemongering to MURDER.
To me, I hate only one sort of person: I hate bigots.
Bigots are cowards, weak minded, and they choose to say "bahhhh" as they follow the sheep.
Fact from fiction, truth from diction. A bigot harbors prejudice beyond race. Basically to all others who are not like themselves. Even to people of their own race. Many bigots can be snobs but not all. A white bigot on top of not liking Blacks, Hispanics, Asian and Middle Easterners, won't like low educated poor whites "white trash". A Black may be a bigot to low educated dark-skinned Blacks or poor Blacks in general. Or poor Blacks with low education against those who are smarter and more educated calling them "Uncle Toms". Japanese could be bigots to Chinese and visa versa because of their long and contentious history. Or more developed Asian nations can thumb their nose at less industrialized Asian nations in Southeast Asia. A bigot is not exclusively a rasist because the catalyst for bigotry don't always cut at the race line.
the act or belief of one who supports nothing except his own church, party, race, or ethnic group is the definition of bigotry. an example could be not to minimize the other more salient features of racial and class discrimination.

When you hate generically, without reason other than what a person is, you are a bigot. When you take away a person's face, who they, themselves are, and hate for the generic labels you can stick on them, you are a bigot.

Would you say you were bigoted against bigots?
by Zandalee.Lonely.Lunatic.3yrs-here on August 2nd, 2007
I would except for the fact that if they changed their ways, I immediately change my opinions about them. I have known some to change in this. I guess that leaves me bigoted against active bigots but, if they cease to be bigots, that ceases to be an issue.
.
Confusing, eh?

I am having the same glitch. You have to click off and then back on. It can be a bit annoying. Just hit the + again until it takes.
