Question

Help answer this question below.

I recently had arthroscopic surgery on my knee. Thankfully there was no major scarring due to the arthroscopic nature, however I have been left with three small cuts. Is there anything I can to do help promote healing and prevent scarring?

yeah aloe vera always seemed to work at my house. my mother and grandmother always cured everything with it including toothaches. just rub it on your knee twice a day and it will help a lot especially with the scaring.

Had the same procedure on both knees. right knee recovered normally. left knee had to be drained of water 13 times.

Exercise is the name of the game to healing your knees.

The scars will eventually fade, about 80%.

Being a male, i do not notice the scars.

The surgery will heal and the scars are not so bad.

Its worth it, to be able to walk again, normally.

You are going to have the three scars from the arthroscopic surgery but they are not going to be very noticeable. Most people would not notice them unless you point them out.

If you want to minimize your scarring, you can put vitamin E on them after they have healed a bit. That will reduce the look of the scar. Personally, I would not worry about it but that is just me.

For now, do exactly what your doctor says. Be careful keeping it clean so it does not infect, if it gets reddened and warm, go back to the doctor.

Aloe Vera seems to be very good for healing skin. If you have access to a plant, cutting the leave and rubbing the gel like inner portion on the wound should help promote healing.

I have always found Apricot oil to be beneficial to healing.

I use it on my family and we all heal quicker and no scars.

I had the same surgery on my knee about 2 years ago. The scars are so minor you can not even notice them. I never put anything on mine and they aren't noticeable at all.
