  • I once applied for a retail job and the store manager said his number one concern was the satisfaction of his customers. I told him that I was also a customer and knew how I wanted to be treated while in a store, with politeness and helpfulness. I could tell by his facial expression that he was impressed by my answer and he hired me. The best of luck to you.
  • You never get a second chance to make a first impression. being in retail requires that you must be a "people person". liking and dealing with the public is 80% of the job. everyone has to start somewhere in life and in particular, a job with no experience. there is a book, at books a million, that can give you some great insight on the retail business and what to expect. i believe its called....retailing for dummies. no intent ment here. hope this helps. end
