Probably because most Answerbag users are far too young to know anything about car maintenance.
-
because the people that know about cars are fixing them and aren't on answerbag. lol

Probably because there is not much good information online to find answers on this subject. I really do not know where I could look for answers for this kind of questions! You could eventually find general information about car function, but people who want to repair their own cars need very specific information. This information could be different from one model to the other, not just from one car brand to the other. These question are asking often for practical tips, which you could only give if you had been doing something similar. This information is written in some books, but you cannot consult these books online, and it should also be for exactly the same model. I just made some research and it seems actually that you could find some help, for instance here (but you must register): http://www.eserviceinfo.com/index.php?what=show_requests&page=18520

because a lot of people cant get cars because age so why ask

I can't afford driving lessons, let alone a car, and motors have never interested me. So I avoid those questions.
-
Because the questions address very specific problems, and highly specific questions can usually only be answered by very few people.

I, for one, do not want to give them bad information. That would cause them serious problems. Only a mechanic would be able to answer many of these questions because they are specific to a make and model. I answer a few of them if I am certain that I know what I am talking about.

Because it spins a lot of questions before being answered. tsk tsk tsk [WHEEL]. Remember the first invention of science started with a wheel. Obviously since it is the mother of all inventions so i think there is a reason why most of the unanswered questions are from the cars [WHEEL]. Bingo Whoa.. Hows that ? Lovingly Maggge.
