  • I dont think so....imagine your son or daughter high ALL the time. There would be nothing you could do to control them outside of the house. Plus think of all the heavy machinary that is operated on a daily basis...would you really want to be walking undr a crane when the operator is high on PCP?...;)
  • not at all.
  • good question. I don't think the usage will change significantly, I've lived in Holland 3 months and most of the people in the coffee shops where not locals. What would change is who makes profits. If they all get legalized then the illegal organisations loose all their profits and go bust. If you prohibit them all then pharmaceutical companies fall to bits and go bankrupt...I don't know who i prefer, it's a pretty big dilemma!
  • No way, cannibis yes..ish! but hard stuff like smack and cocaine..no way!! i've seen the devastation this stuff leaves in its path, anyone smoking hash is hardly likely to rob someone to get it....but i have known people push their mother down the stairs and kill her, rob off their own family, lie cheat and decieve others to get the next 10 bag!
  • Nope. Certain drugs, like acid or X or herion, can cause serious damage and are illegal for a reason. I can only think of one drug that should be legalized, and we all know what that is.....
  • But people take them anyway. If ot was legal, it could be better controlled.
  • I'll answer your question with another question. If all drugs were legal, would it really be great for 5 year olds to go to school doped up on cocaine and heroine?
  • Take it from an an x-cocaine addict; the stuff ruins lives. I think making a drug like cocaine legal would just be absolutely ...stupid. Marijuana, yes, it should be legal- I dont think there's any doubt about that. I think people should be allowed to have acid trips as long as they're in controlled environments. LSD does no harm to the body whatsoever, you cant become addicted to it, you cant overdose- so why not!?
  • do you drink and drive? If drugs were legal would you use them? Now that drugs are illegal do you have MORE control over your kids outside the house? How could lifting the prohibition make us less responsible as people. I'm sorry but I see people doing dumb things on drugs and alcohol all the time. Regardless of the laws. should we lock up everyone that does something dumb or annoying? I don't agree that we should lift the ban on everything, but the war on drugs is a complete failure!(there I said it)
  • No, the last thing we need is little kids doing them and ruining their lives.
  • Why is it that when someone mentions drugs, people always have to go all Maude Flanders and scream "Won't somebody think of the children!" Do you think the only reason kids don't do drugs is because they are illegal? Do you think 5 year olds are saying-"Hey, lets go buy some crack" "What, Johnny? Crack? We can't-It's illegal-let's watch The Waltons on TV instead"
  • Yes, to stop the killings, gangs,
  • Yes. Not that I think drugs would go away, but drug-related crime would. And I don't reckon drug consumption would increase - anybody who wants drugs now can get them - and it might decrease because those already addicted would not have the incentive to addict others in order to profit from supplying them. And contaminated drugs - the cause of most drug-related deaths and much injury - would disappear.
