Not sure if it's directed at men or women. Personally I do. I think it's because of the mechanics of touch. When we feel something we actually feel the difference in temperature (try it-without looking, lower your finger into a glass of body temperature water-it's hard to tell when you actually come into contact with the water) In the shower, the water is nearer your body temperature, so everything seems less sensitive and it's harder to discern touch. My boyfriend has said the same thing to me-so I guess it applies to men and women
