  • Well at least you don't have to worry about Vacuum leaks on a 2001. It's probably the PCM or ECU.. you need someone with probe software to plug into the OBD-2 port to make sure the computers are OK. If they are, you have an ignition of fuel pump failing.
  • weres the first cilinder at on the v6 dohc so i can change the plugs
  • I had a problem very similiar to this... Though, if you've recently replaced the entire motor, I'm not sure how closely related what I'm saying will be. I took mine to the dealership over this, and apparently there were some issues with some old hoses that had cracked and somehow were pulling oil up into an area that it shouldn't have been (I believe it was the exhaust manifold). The oil was getting on a sensor and causing it to read that the car's fuel mixture was too rich. They cleaned the sensor, and replaced the hoses. The whole deal ended up costing around $400, but I think I had them do a couple of other little things while they had it, like fix a tire. I hope this helped.
