  • Occam's Razor refers to a situation where you have a problem, and two solutions, one simple, and one complex. The Razor part refers to cutting away the more complex answer in favor of the simpler one.
  • The "razor" to me, describes the "simplist explanation tends to be the right one" in that a razor is basically a single line - no complexity, just a straight edge. At least that's how my brain sees it.
