Help answer this question below.

My xbox 360 makes a loud static noise and freezes during gameplay leaving lots of pixel type squares over the screen, I have to reboot the machine before I can play again but problem re occurs.

    my did it three time and finally the fourth time i got the red ring of death and then i waited about 20 min and my xbox360 is working again should i call Microsoft about it.

    That happened to me just today actually.... I followed the instructions given by Microsoft and nothing worked... I finally removed all my accessories including my heard drive (one of the instructions) and then I reconnected the HHD and put in a game and not even 10 seconds into game play the screen went black and I got the RRoD. At least the fix is free right?

    Aslo, I bought the system three months ago.

    I suppose that during the month without my 360 I will be giving my PS2 attention again.

    o dude i had this problem once, it made this loud noise and it just turn off on me. It turned out tht a cable wire wasnt plugged in all the way. This could also happen if u have an intercooling fan accesory on ur xbox.
