Religious people are not offended when Atheists call God imaginary, the Bible is a fairytale or that cults are brainwashing people. It only becomes offensive when Atheists call religious people idiots or any other bad names.

Why would anyone choose to try to offend others with comments like that? Seems awfully controlling to me. Not at all concerned with their mental health. 2/28/26

Same reason as if I asked "Why do atheists not believe in God, without objective morality, they cannot be moral? Or, How can atheists be happy as without God they have no meaning or purpose in their life? In asking the question in this way, I'm pushing MY viewpoint, atheists can't be moral, or have any meaning or purpose, which I'm sure you'd feel insulted by, just as you assume the theist belief in God is an imaginary friend, they must be delusional or bonkers, hence insulting their mentality. So in asking a question one must 1) Remain respectful to the other when asking the question if they are truly interested in a response from them, 2) Not push their viewpoint as the question. I hope this helps :) And I'vebeen atheist and don'tbelieve those things, but I was using it to demonstrate what I meant.
