  • We drove up California over to Montana, through the Canadian Rockies. Then up British Columbia by way of the Cassiar Hwy. to the Yukon and took a left over into Northwest Territories. Then we went west and into Alaska. Then back down through British Columbia another way, the Alcan Hwy. Headed to Vancouver, down the entire coast of US, back home. It took 8,000 miles and almost 3 weeks but we had a blast!!!

  • When I was a single guy I had just ended a job and had some time to spare and got on a plane and met my brother and his family in Seattle as they were on a two week camping trip across western Canada, ending with three days at the Calgary Stampede before heading home to northern CA. After fourth of July in Seattle we saw some beautiful places in BC, and even during the rainy times, which were a lot for the first week, we headed into town and did some fun stuff instead. In Calgary we did the Luge run at the olympic park, which was awesome. The people we met were great, and the events at the Stampede were unforgettable. It was a great trip.

  • That's great justme! Where did you go? My 2 favorite vacations were: London - had a great week touring museums, pubs, historic sites, went to an Eric Clapton concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Phoenix, Arizona 1996 - Had a great week enjoying the warm weather in November, went to baseball games, hung out with friends, went to a concert and then met Ronnie James Dio afterwards. See photo, I'm the tall guy in red.
  • Disney and the beach. But it's been years and years since I've had a chance to vacation. *sigh* :(
  • Having traveled the globe, the following is not the location those who only know me superficially will expect, but here goes. In 1982 I went for one week to Birminham, England. It was the best holiday I have ever had because of the kindness of the family of the freind who brought me there. Since then. I have been to some of the most 'beautiful' 'exciting' 'desirable' vacation spots in the world, and had a lot more time, money and resources to invest in them....but my week in Newlands road, Birmingham, was the one I cherish.
  • On my first Honeymoon, we went to four of the Hawaiian Islands. Ten days in Maui, seven days on the Big Island of Hawaii, ten days on Kauai, and three days at Honolulu in Oahu. It was the most incredible time ever. Maui and the ride on the Road to Hana is indescribable. This pic is one of the seven Sacred Pools at the end of the three hour car ride thru the tropical rain forest.

  • I've done the islands and thats nice. But the Orginal Citadal is now a hotel, staying there and touring Charoleston SC was wonderful. There is so many little things there that a tropic paridise dosn't have. Plus finding all the mom and pop foodies, left me eager to go back for seconds.
